The new Ultra-Slip, Low-COF High Temperature Cover (blue) is designed to lower friction in blown film and converting applications. The new "blue" plastic can be utilized anywhere film contacts a surface in the processing of plastic film. They will be used on such pieces as collapsing frames, gusset boards, turning bars and their roller-less retrofit series to replace spreader rolls, idler rolls and cage arms rollers. Lower friction allows for less stress in the bubble, leading to better gauge control. It also allows for higher output speeds as friction and stress are limiting factors in the extrusion process. Lower friction also allows for greater tolerance in the tent geometry to make less scrap and, ultimately, "better film, faster!"
